Turano Baking Company is a family-owned bakery founded in 1962 by Mariano Turano in Berwyn, Illinois. Originally from Calabria, Italy, Mariano brought his family's traditional Italian baking recipes to the United States. What began as a small neighborhood bakery has grown into one of the largest independent wholesale bakeries in the country.

Turano is known for producing authentic European-style breads, including ciabatta, focaccia, French rolls, and artisan loaves. Their products are made using time-honored baking techniques, such as hearth baking and long fermentation, to ensure rich flavor and superior texture.
